Thank service center of IBM@SG

I want to buy an IBM thinkpad X31 recently, but have no idea of how to know the computer is brand new and genuine or not. So yesterday afternoon I sent an email to service center of IBM at Singapore. In this morning I got their reply. I think their work is very efficient.

Thank you, IBM!

The following is their reply:

1. How to know whether the thinkpad is brand new and genuine or not.
Check the carton box original IBM quality seal shall not be tampered

2. How to check the warranty status.
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/warranty/warranty.vm,
please keep your invoice all the time during warranty period.

3. Are all X31 covered by 3 years international customer carry-in warranty?
Yes

4. Where can I get a checklist of all items/accessories (including user's manual, CDROMs and other free offers) in the box?
Open box, the first thing you see is the checklist. There is no user manual in all IBM shippment now, all the info of the machine can be found by press blue "Access IBM" button when you are in Windows.

OK, I decide to buy IBM thinkpad in this afternoon.

My second blog is here

Some days ago I applied a user's account at SpyMac.com and posted my first blog there. Today I posted my second blog here.

Frankly say, I came here for being a test user of gmail. :-)
